FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WFFT)- This year, SCAN said 1,000 baskets will be donated by area organizations including IPFW, Ivy Tech – Northeast, Trin, Inc., Personal Training Institute of Fort Wayne, Indiana State Police Laboratory/Fort Wayne Regional Laboratory, and the University of St. Francis.

"It's a great way for the community to get involved, and give back to our families. It's really just a feel good moment for the children in our services. Their families are in a very stressful situation and it's a moment of happiness we can share with them,"Heather Leas said.

Most of the baskets were distributed today to the families.
