FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WFFT) – Police arrested a man that was involved in Thursday's robbery.
Fort Wayne Police Department responded to a reported robbery at a Three Rivers Federal Credit Union just after 4:30 p.m.
Witnesses say the suspect walked in and handed a bank teller a note stating" Give me $2,500, don't say anything to anybody else, I am armed." He then left with the money.
On Friday, police received a call stating the man in the photo police were looking for was his father.
The son provided a description of the car used to drive away from the robberies and his father'as phone number which police used to locate Coates in Ohio on Tuesday.
Police have arrested 59-year-old Michael D. Coates on two counts of Robbery, level 5 Felony.
According to reports the suspect had passed a note and then left the Credit Union with an undisclosed amount of money.
