FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WFFT) — A staff member at a local university has tested positive for COVID-19, officials announced on Tuesday.
Officials with Purdue University Fort Wayne say they were notified late Monday afternoon by the Allen County Department of Health that one of its employees tested positive for COVID-19.

The University says the employee lives in Fort Wayne.
Indications are that the individual had only limited contact with anyone on campus.
PFW says public health officials conducted an investigation with the staff member to "establish relevant personal contacts."
Officials say each person has been contacted to discuss precautions and any additional steps, if necessary.
Purdue University Fort Wayne wants to remind its students, faculty and staff to practice social distancing and adhere to the state’s ongoing stay-at-home directive.
