FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WFFT) — Parks & Recreation leaders in Fort Wayne say they will need to make some improvements on a local playground leading to some closures for a few weeks.
City leaders say an upcoming construction project at Promenade Park will require some temporary closures of the park’s PNC Playground beginning Wednesday.
Parks and Recreation crews will be placing large boulders and plantings in the sloped area that is north of the playground in order to address minor erosion in this area.
While this project takes place, the PNC Playground will be closed during construction hours, which are expected to be from 7:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. on weekdays.
This project is scheduled to be finished by the end of the month.
