Power Outage reported in Van Wert County

AEP is reporting a power outage for an area in Van Wert County.

VAN WERT, Ohio (WFFT) — American Electric Power is currently reporting a power outage for the eastern area of Van Wert County.

The Van Wert County Sherrif's Office says the outage began at 9:53 a.m. Wednesday and power is expected to be restored by 2:30 p.m.

The outage affects approximately 800 customers in the area.

Some customers in the affected area have reported their power was restored less than 30 minutes after the outage occured.
