FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WFFT)- Fort Wayne Police say an initial report that a girl was kidnapped from the south west side was second hand information from another child, and there is no investigation underway.

The 911 call came in around 5:25 p.m. Friday saying a girl was kidnapped from the area of Home Avenue and Beaver Avenue.

Allen County Dispatch confirmed the report and said officers were investigating and searching for a girl.
