An Amber Alert was issued after a 5-year-old Fort Wayne girl was forcibly taken by her non-custodial father. The alert is cancelled.

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WFFT)- Update: Leanna Herron has been found safe in Indianapolis. Her 26-year-old non-custodial father Zyair Herron has been taken into custody.

An Amber Alert has been issued after a 5-year-old girl was forcibly taken by her non-custodial father. 

Leanna Herron was last seen wearing a gray sweat suit and black and white Nikes. She's described as a black female, 4'0" tall and 69 pounds with brown eyes and light brown hair pulled into three pony tails. 

Police say 26-year-old Zyair Herron took Leanna at gunpoint from an apartment in the 1800 block of Fox Trail Point. 

Zyair Herron is a black male, 5'9" tall and 165 pounds, wearing a red and black sweat suit. He has black hair brown eyes, a short goatee, and gold on his teeth. 

He was last seen driving a silver Chevrolet Malibu. 

Leanna is believed to be in extreme danger.

Anyone with information on their whereabouts is asked to call police at 260-427-1222.
