Police investigating armed robbery at Apple Glen Walmart

Police are investigating an armed robbery that happened Saturday at the Apple Glen Walmart.

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WFFT)- Fort Wayne Police are investigating an armed robbery at the Apple Glen Walmart.

They were called to the store at 1710 Apple Glen Boulevard around 6:15 p.m. Saturday.

Officer Jason Anthony with the Fort Wayne Police Department told WFFT a man walked into the store and demanded cash from the Money Center. The suspect was armed with a handgun.

The suspect is described as a white male, 5 feet 5 inches to 5 feet 7 inches tall, wearing jeans, a dark hoodie, and a fake mustache and beard.

According to Anthony, the man ran away and possibly drove off in a Jeep Wrangler, or similar vehicle. Detectives are reviewing surveillance video from surrounding stores for more information.

No injuries were reported, and Anthony said no other information is available at this time.
