FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WFFT) -- A local nonprofit wants to increase its impact in the Fort Wayne community to make sure families have clothing.
Pie’s Clothing Closet hosted another clothing giveaway Wednesday at Miss Virginia’s food pantry.
The organization previously hosted a giveaway over Easter weekend which helped about 125 families.
Founder Joseph Ayers is working on plans to host more in the future, especially as the pandemic continues.
“There’s organizations out here that really want to give back to the community despite, COVID-19,” Ayers said. “They just, want to give back to anybody that’s in need, and that’s what Pie’s Clothing Closet is all about.”
In his 10 years of doing giveaways, Ayers estimates he’s helped around 5,000 families.
If you would like to donate clothing, please contact Ayers at 260-348-6080.
