PAULDING, Ohio (WFFT) — A Paulding couple was arrested Saturday night after a fight broke out and resulted in a man being shot, authorities said.
Just after 10 p.m., Saturday Paulding County deputies were called to the 7800 block of State Road 111 in Paulding, Ohio, for a domestic violence situation where an adult male was shot.
Investigators said 36-year-old Alisha M. Shepherd shot her 36-year-old boyfriend Louis A. Wannemacher, who lives with her, during a fight between the two of them.
Investigators said the shooting occurred as Wannemacher was allegedly beating both Shepherd and her 12-year-old son.
Deputies said the bullet grazed Wannemacher’s neck.
Deputies said Wannemacher was transported to the Paulding County Hospital where he was treated for his injury and released.
Shepherd was arrested at the scene and booked at the Paulding County Jail on one felony count of Assault.
Wannemacher was arrested upon his release from the hospital and booked at the county jail on two misdemeanor counts of domestic violence.
Both Shepherd and Wannemacher will appear before the Paulding County Municipal Court via video arraignment on Monday at 9 a.m.
