FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WFFT)- Mayor Tom Henry announced Thursday morning the 2nd annual Open Streets event is coming back to Fort Wayne on July 15th.

The Open Streets event opens more than two miles of roadway to walkers, bikers, and fitness instructors. During this time, cars will not be allowed on a stretch of Calhoun Street.

Mayor Henry said the event was a hit last year, and he looks forward to getting Fort Wayne up and moving.

"There's 70 different events. There's all kinds of possibilities, and it's designed for the entire family, and best of all, it's free," Mayor Henry said.

The event will be held July 15th from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
