FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WFFT) -- There are less than two days left to participate in the Angel Tree drive for the Salvation Army.
This year, spokesperson Timothy Smith says the needs doubled due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Smith says with over 400 families still waiting for those boxes of toys, they are calling on all the angels of Northeast Indiana to help.
Smith says all you have to do is log on to their website to see what a child is in need of this Christmas.
Smith adds, “You’ll see the kids on there that haven’t been taken care of. It has their clothing sizes and toy preferences. You click on that kid that you want to take care of, you can go straight to Amazon and buy it and it goes straight to us.”
One local mortgage company answered that call and went exceedingly and abundantly above what Smith was expecting.
Megan Tumbleson with Ruoff Mortgage says for their company, it’s always important to give but this year it was crucial.
Tumbleson says, “We bought about 10-15 toys per child. We had [sponsered] six children this year and two parents. The response of need was just overwhelming.”
