2 killed, 1 wounded in Barnhart Avenue shooting

One man and a 23-year-old woman are dead and a 27-year-old man has life-threatening injuries, police say.

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WFFT) -- One man is dead and two people are wounded after a shooting in northeast Fort Wayne early Wednesday morning.

Officers responded to a shooting at 2405 Barnhart Ave. at 12:30 a.m. Wednesday and found three adults with gunshot wounds.

Police say one man was pronounced dead at the scene.

This is the second incident in 12 hours where someone was killed on the northeast side of the city.

A 27-year-old man and a 23-year-old woman were both taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries. 

The woman who was taken to the hospital died Wednesday morning.

Police say they've identified a "person of interest" in the shooting who they're attempting to find. 

A neighbor whos lives down the street from where the shooting took place says people were arguing in the driveway of the home before gunshots were fired.

The names of the victims have not been released.
