DEFIANCE, Ohio (WFFT)- A Defiance man is dead after he crashed a snowmobile early Saturday morning.
Police said they were called around 4:10 a.m. in reference to a fatal snowmobile accident on the Maumee River.
Kurt Bachellor, 59, was operating the snowmobile on the river when he struck an overhanging tree branch. Bachellor was thrown from the snowmobile and pronounced dead at the scene.
An autopsy will be performed by the Lucas County Coroner's Office.
