SPENCERVILLE, Ohio (WFFT) — State police are investigating a head-on collision that left two people dead and one man injured Sunday morning.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol’s Lima Post says at 6:46 a.m. troopers responded to a crash on State Route 117, near Mills Road.
Just before the crash OSHP said a 1991 Chevrolet Corsica, driven by 17-year-old Madyson Snyder of Spencerville was going east on S.R. 117.
Snyder went left of the center line and crashed into a 2021 Honda CRV being driven by 25-year-old Bridget Hendricks of Decatur, Indiana who was driving west on S.R. 117.
Snyder and Hendricks were both pronounced dead at the scene by the Allen County Coroner’s Office.
A passenger in Snyder's car, identified as 18-year-old Nathaniel Meade was transported to Mercy Health St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima in critical condition.
Investigators have not said why Snyder went off of her side of the road.
