FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WFFT) -- Optimum Performance Sports is doing its part to help bridge the gap for local athletes during the pandemic.
With no access to school facilities at the moment, many have flocked to OPS as they try to stay sharp and stay in shape.
Over the last four weeks, the Lutheran Health Network affiliate has offered several summer conditioning classes, including specific training for football and basketball players.
Several safety precautions have been taken to prevent spreading COVID-19, including thermal temperature screenings for every athlete that enters the building.
The five-week program is set to wrap up next week.
