FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WFFT) - Katali Boutique is now open for business on Coldwater road here in Fort Wayne.
Sisters Angie Berger and Gina Rentschler say they've been talking about opening this store for about eighteen years.
"Before, you know, things got in the way like life, children, everything else," Berger said. "So, we felt like this was a good opportunity and a good time."
The boutique is named after Gina's daughters.
The sisters say they want to be a clothing source for women who appreciate looking their best in the workplace, while running errands or while out on the town.
"We also kind of wanted to start our own little niche of having a boutique for the stay at home moms, the working woman, the grandmas," Rentschler said.
Their clothes range in size from 0 to 3x.
But if you see something you like, it might not be there the next time you visit.
The sisters say that's part of their business model.
"Our main goal is to be a boutique in essence of only carrying so many styles and so many sizes," Rentschler said. "When it comes in, we put it out on the floor, first come first serve."
The sisters want the boutique to be a unique shopping experience centered around you, the customer.
"Design, fashion, it's in our blood," Rentschler said. "So we want everyone else to feel comfortable when they're out shopping. We'll be able to help them pick the pieces that truly fit their body style. And if they can't make it during our hours, please call us. Please email us and we will get back to you and we can set up an appointment to meet one on one."
The boutique also carries purses, hats, scarves, jewelry and much more.
They've even teamed up with other local businesses to feature their pieces.
Some of which help women around the world.
"Our theme of our store, obviously if you come around our store, it's the gold feather," Berger said. "Gold feathers mean unconditional love. So that's kind of been our inspiration."
