MERRILLVILLE, Ind. (WFFT) — A northern Indiana utility provider is warning customers of potentially higher heating bills this winter.
NIPSCO says the average customer could expect to pay around $590 over the next five months.
This comes as higher gas prices have become more common across the country due to the rising cost of natural gas itself.
Natural gas market prices are 92 percent higher than last winter.
The utility company says if you're dealing with financial problems you should contact customer care immediately so that you can determine what options might be available to you.
