HUNTINGTON, Ind. (WFFT) — A man is dead after taking a turn too fast on a highway while riding his motorcycle in Huntington County Saturday evening.
Just before after 6 p.m. Saturday, Huntington County deputies were called to U.S. Highway 24 East, just west of North Meridian Road in Huntington Township regarding a motorcycle crash.
Investigators said the rider of the Harley Davidson Motorcycle was traveling east on U.S. 24 when the rider took a curve too fast.
After that, they said he left the road and went across a small creek before overturning and being ejected from the motorcycle.
Authorities said the rider was transported to Lutheran Hospital where he was declared dead shortly after arrival.
Deputies believe the rider was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
This crash remains under investigation.
