FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WFFT)- The Fort Wayne community is invited to attend a soft opening and fundraising event at Metro Diner Saturday and Sunday.

The diner is set to open Tuesday, but the owner wanted to kick the business off by donating proceeds to two local organizations.

All of the donations from Saturday will go to Big Brothers Big Sisters.

"Big Brothers Big Sisters have always been part of my heart, and I've helped them out in many areas in the past. There's over 500 kids that are on the mentor waiting list," said Richard Cieslinski, the owner.

Sundays donations will go to Franciscan Brother's, an organization that supports the homeless and underprivileged kids.

Guests can make a reservation for either day from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. or 4:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. You must make a reservation by calling 260-543-4066.
