Mayor celebrates city workers

City employees who have dedicated more than 25 years to their position were recognized by Mayor Tom Henry today.

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WFFT)- Mayor Tom Henry celebrated employees of Fort Wayne with a ceremony at his office Thursday.

The mayor recognized employees  that are 25, 30, 35, and 40 year employees of the city. 45 people were recognized with a certificate. The mayor said the milestones speak volumes to their dedication to the city.

"I have rarely met an employee who truly is not passionate about their job and what they do for this city, and the fact that they really do love what they do," Mayor Henry said.

The mayor said he tries to do a ceremony for employees every year.
