Mayor Henry holds recognition ceremony

Individuals who work for Omni Source, public safety, and three rivers ambulance authority were honored Monday.

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WFFT) - Individuals who work for Omni Source, public safety, and three rivers ambulance authority were honored Monday.

All of them played a huge role in helping to save the life of Steve Hoffman who works for Construction Resources of Indiana.

He suffered a heart attack on Omni Source property back in January.

"We have lots of training that we go through our employer on monthly basis. The first responder training we've done the CPR classes. It really paid off. You never think you'll have to use it until you actually do."

There were 15 employees that rushed to help Hoffman before first responders arrived.

All of them along with Public Safety and Three Rivers Ambulance Authority received certificates of recognition.
