FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WFFT)- A man in a clown mask tried to rob a bank on the city's north side Thursday morning.
Police were called to the Partner's First Credit Union on Riviera Court around 11:38 a.m. Tellers told police they saw a man in a clown mask approaching the front door.
Employees were able to lock the front entrance, but the suspect fired shots at the doors. No one was hurt in the incident.
There were customers inside at the time, but it's not clear how many.
The suspect fled in an unknown direction. Employees and customers also fled to a nearby business.
Police are working to gather surveillance video from the bank and interview witnesses.
Sgt. Jim Seay with the Fort Wayne Police Department said it's been a long time since shots were fired in an incident like this.
