FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WFFT) -- One man is dead after a two-car crash in southeast Fort Wayne on Saturday.
According to the Fort Wayne Police Department, the crash occurred a few minutes before 5:30 p.m. in the 2400 block of East Paulding Road.
When officers got to the scene, they found an adult male in critical condition from being ejected from his vehicle.
He was transported to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
The driver of the other vehicle involved was also taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.
Police say one vehicle was going east on Paulding Road at a high rate of speed, and the second vehicle was attempting to turn on to Paulding Road.
The two collided and the driver of the merging vehicle was ejected.
Police say according to witnesses, the vehicle traveling east on Paulding Road had a front seat passenger who left the scene before officers arrived.
The crash is still under investigation by multiple agencies.
