FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WFFT) - A cashier at all American Gas Station got an unwelcome surprise Saturday.

This man walked into the Lima Road store just before closing time, but he wasn't there to buy anything.

"When my staff member was ringing him up, and processing the credit card, he acted like he was swiping and going through all this other stuff," Owner Adam Dager said.

In the surveillance video he made a dash for it before the transaction.

All American Gas Station owner Adam Dager said the thief got away with $153 worth of items.

It wasn't the only place he hit.

Amanda McCormick, manager of Mac Food Mart Sunoco gas station, was working the morning of November 6 when she said the same man stole from her.

"He came up to the register, he asked for a cart of Newports. I rang it up. I sat it on the counter. He grabbed it as he was swiping his credit card," she explained.

Once again... he makes a dash for it.

"I yelled after him, the customer that was in she went outside, and tried to get his plate, and then I called the police," McCormick added.

Now with the videos and pictures out they both hope the person in the video is caught.
