Man shot in home invasion Friday afternoon in New Haven

One man is in serious condition after getting shot Friday afternoon. Police responded to the scene at the 1900 block of Sunnymede Drive around 12:40 p.m.

NEW HAVEN, Ind. (WFFT)- One man is in serious condition after getting shot Friday afternoon.

Police responded to the scene at the 1900 block of Sunnymede Drive around 12:40 p.m.

Two people entered a home and shot a man who lives in the home. He was quickly transported to a nearby hospital.

It's not known if anyone else was in the home at the time of the shooting. The two men who entered the home are still at large and the investigation is ongoing.

One of the suspects is described as a black male, 18-25 years-old with dreads with blonde highlights on the ends. the second suspect wore a black mask and hood and can't be identified.

"Detectives need to talk to the victims and any other witnesses at this time," said Sgt. Brent Bollinger, New Haven Police Department.

The getaway car is described as a 2-tone late 90's Buick. The car is described as having a dark colored top with a light in colored bottom.
