Two EEs Winery opened near Roanoke just four years ago.
And since then, it's brought in numerous awards.
It's most recent- winning USA Today's Top Wine Tasting Room in the country.
WFFT's Andrew Logsdon shows us in this week's Locally Made Monday.
The awards keep piling up for Two EEs Winery.
The wines are bringing in many best of class awards from competitions across the us.
The biggest- taking the top spot in USA Today's Ten Best for wine tasting rooms.
"The most recent one was were were voted the best tasting room in the nation by USW Today's Ten Best. We thought that was pretty cool... We were nominated by industry professionals from around the country. And at that point, there's a list of twenty wineries and we were the only ones in indiana, let alone the midwest... But I think what we're most proud of is the tasting room award. It's really about the experience, as well as the product here," says owner Eric Harris.
And at the winery on US 24 near Roanoke- it really is an experience.
"I think the thing to see is, when you come in here, and you can stand at the tasting bar, you can see all of production. If you're lucky, maybe that day we're destemming crushing grapes, or pressing. The winery really has a strong smell of fermentation, it's such a cool thing. It's my favorite time of year," Harris says.
The experience doesn't stop indoors.
Two EEs offers many live events with tastings.
"Throughout the summer, we have what we call the Uncorked Series, every Friday and Saturday. We have a live concert, and it's free to the public," Harris says.
And it doesn't stop when summer ends.
"Because that's been so successful, we're focusing this year in the offesason on expanding that so that maybe we can extend those hours, even three seasons, four seasons," Harris says.
Even though the grapes only grow in the spring and summer, the wine, and awards, keep flowing, all year.
