Halloween is a week away, bringing with it kids trick-or-treating from door-to-door.

• Auburn: Wednesday, October 31 from 6pm – 8pm
• Auburn (downtown): Wednesday, October 31 from 4pm – 6pm
• Berne: Tuesday, October 30 from 6pm – 8pm
• Bluffton (Downtown businesses): Wednesday, October 31 from 5pm – 6pm
• Bluffton (Outlying businesses): Wednesday, October 31 from 6pm – 7pm
• Decatur: Wednesday, October 31 from 6pm – 8pm
• Fort Wayne: Wednesday, October 31 from 5:30pm – 7:30pm
• Geneva: Tuesday, October 30 from 5:30pm – 7pm

The Fort Wayne Police Department reminds all trick or treaters they should only visit homes with an illuminated exterior front light (porch light). Remember the following safety rules:
• Do not wear costumes that obscure vision
• Wear reflective clothing or light-colored clothing to make you visible to motorists
• Have a pre-planned route
• Only cross streets at the crosswalks
• Visit familiar homes and do not enter a stranger’s home
• Be prepared for bad weather
• Don’t eat any treats until they have been inspected by an adult
