Lunches for students
Campbell says, "With the way things are right now, the last thing anybody should have to worry about is their child being fed."
Willie's Family Restaurant is providing free breakfast and lunch for K-12 students who need food over the extended break since local school boards extended spring breaks or cancelled school due to the Coronavirus spread.
They're also offering food to the families of elderly residents, especially the elderly who need assistance.
Because school is the only place where some students receive a meal, the prolonged break is not exciting for everyone.
Roxanna Lemke of The Bluebird Restaurant says, "...as a kid, I did rely on the school to feed me."
The Bluebird will provide free lunches starting Monday, March 16.
Lucille's BBQ on Lima Road will do the same.
