FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WFFT) -- Ascending to the rank of Eagle Scout remains a goal for many Boy Scouts in Troop 333 of Fort Wayne's southwestern side of town.
To reach the Eagle Scout rank, the young men must complete a community project that reflects skills of leadership and servitude.

But Troop Committee Chair, Joshua Hoff says it's not everyone's intention to reach the high rank.
"The youth can have that high level of wanting to get to Eagle and really be dedicated while others are going to want to have fun with boy scouts and go on the camping trips...and that's okay too," said Hoff.
Spencer Hoff, Hoff's son and graduated Eagle scout built a playground at the troop's weekly meeting site, Liberty Mills Church of the Nazarene just last year.
His father says Spencer had to lead the entire project, planning and executing every step from start to finish.
Life Scout Daniel Tinnell says becoming an Eagle Scout is one of his lifelong dreams, one he's looked forward to accomplishing since becoming a Boy Scout in 2nd grade.
In hopes of becoming an Eagle Scout, he created a gaga-ball pit for Aboite Baptist Church.
Daniel describes the pit as "a big octagon where people try to hit a kickball or basketball against other people’s legs to get them out.”
He says the game has a 'last man standing' feel, geared toward to youth of Aboite Baptist.
And just like the Eagle Scouts must lend a hand to their communities, Daniel says he wants to help younger scouts once he graduates.
He says, "I'd like to help the younger scouts achieve what I've achieved in the past. I haven't always lived here..and moving from Missouri to here has been a strange experience being in a new troop. I just want to help the younger kids experience the same thing that I did going through Scouts."
