Kendallville Police investigating death on train tracks

Officers were called around 2:00 a.m. to the train tracks east of Main Street. They were told someone had died after getting hit by the train.

KENDALLVILLE, Ind. (WFFT)- Police in Kendallville are investigating after a person was hit by a train early Wednesday morning. 

Officers were called around 2:00 a.m. to the train tracks east of Main Street. They were told someone had died after getting hit by the train.

Police closed the railroad crossings along Main Street, Riley Street, and Park Avenue for a short time while they investigated the incident.

The identity of the victim will be released by the Noble County Coroner.
