ANGOLA, Ind. (WFFT) — Police arrested a delivery driver after they say he strangled a woman inside an apartment after asking to use her bathroom on Friday night.
The Angola Police Department was called to building 7 at Village Green Apartments just before 7 p.m. Friday after a woman says she was strangled by a Jimmy Johns delivery person.

Police say the victim who called 911 said a large black male, who was a Jimmy Johns delivery person, strangled her after she allowed him to use her bathroom.
When officers arrived they say the victim was found lying on the just inside the front door on the floor.
She told officers the delivery person, who was identified as 18-year-old Nkhai Scroggins, from Butler, delivered her order then asked to use the bathroom.
The woman told police that she let him in and waited by the front door then he came up behind her, grabbed her around the neck and pulled her down out of her wheelchair.
The victim said she was strangled to the point of unconsciousness, then at some point, Scroggins left.
Scroggins was arrested by authorities in DeKalb County then he was later transported to Steuben County Jail.
This case is still under investigation.
