INDIANAPOLIS (WFFT) — The Indiana State Department of Health reported 963 new COVID-19 cases on Friday, which brings the total to 660,071 people.
The state also reported 33 new deaths, bringing the total to 12,098 deaths across the state.
Deaths are reported based on when data are received by ISDH.
The deaths reported Friday occurred between Dec. 22 and Feb. 25.
Indiana currently has a 7-Day positivity rate of 11.1% for unique individuals.
The Allen County Department of Health announced another 56 residents tested positive for COVID-19 Friday.
Across northeast Indiana, 102 new COVID-19 cases and one death were reported to ISDH.
A total of 429 probable deaths have been reported to ISDH.
Probable deaths are those for which a physician listed COVID-19 as a contributing cause based on X-rays, scans and other clinical symptoms but no positive test is on record.
These do not count towards the daily death toll.
ISDH says their dashboard has been updated to remove duplicate entries and correct county of residences with data submitted to them.
To date, 963,225 Hoosiers have received a first dose of vaccine, and 531,962 are fully vaccinated.
