INDIANAPOLIS (WFFT) — The Indiana State Department of Health reported 786 new COVID-19 cases on Wednesday, which brings the total to 663,511 people.
The state also reported nine new deaths, bringing the total to 12,200 deaths across the state.
Allen County resident died and 57 tested positive for COVID-19 bringing the total to 36,046 and 638 deaths Wednesday.
Deaths are reported based on when data are received by ISDH.
The deaths reported Wednesday occurred between Jan. 5 and March 3.
Indiana currently has a 7-Day positivity rate of 9.6% for unique individuals.

Across northeast Indiana, 97 new COVID-19 cases and no new deaths were reported to ISDH.
A total of 433 probable deaths have been reported to ISDH.
Probable deaths are those for which a physician listed COVID-19 as a contributing cause based on X-rays, scans and other clinical symptoms but no positive test is on record.
These do not count towards the daily death toll.
ISDH says their dashboard has been updated to remove duplicate entries and correct county of residences with data submitted to them.
To date, 1,031,266 first doses of vaccine have been administered in Indiana, and 608,638 Hoosiers are fully vaccinated.
