INDIANAPOLIS (WFFT) — The Indiana State Department of Health reported 555 new COVID-19 cases on Monday, which brings the total to 662,213 people.
The state also reported 20 new deaths, bringing the total to 12,162 deaths across the state.
Deaths are reported based on when data are received by ISDH.
The deaths reported Monday occurred between Dec. 12 and Feb. 28.
Indiana currently has a 7-Day positivity rate of 10.6% for unique individuals.
The Allen County Department of Health announced another Allen County resident died and 56 tested positive for COVID-19 bringing the total to 35,952 and 633 deaths Monday.
Across northeast Indiana, 77 new COVID-19 cases and two new deaths were reported to ISDH.
A total of 433 probable deaths have been reported to ISDH.
Probable deaths are those for which a physician listed COVID-19 as a contributing cause based on X-rays, scans and other clinical symptoms but no positive test is on record.
These do not count towards the daily death toll.
ISDH says their dashboard has been updated to remove duplicate entries and correct county of residences with data submitted to them.
To date, 1,000,321 Hoosiers have received a first dose of the vaccine, and 569,465 are fully vaccinated.
