INDIANAPOLIS (WFFT) — Schools in Indiana can now apply for more money to keep students safe.
Governor Eric Holcomb is making $19 million available to help with school safety.
The Indiana Department of Homeland Security is now accepting applications for the Secured School Safety Grant.
The grant can be used to help schools hire a school resource officer.
It can also be used for other school safety precautions.
The grant application period is open until July 31.
