INDIANAPOLIS (WFFT) — The Indiana State Department of Health reported 1,044 new COVID-19 cases on Friday, which brings the total to 97,884 people.
The state also reported 17 new deaths, bringing the total to 3,127 deaths across the state.

nother three Allen County residents have died and 57 have tested positive for COVID-19, with 48 confirmed PCR cases and nine probable antigen cases, bringing the total to 5,183 cases and 182 deaths Friday.
Deaths are reported based on when data are received by ISDH, the deaths reported Friday occurred between Aug. 6 and Sept. 3.
A total of 1,497,703 people have been tested in Indiana, 8.8% of those tested are a positive coronavirus case.
The Allen County Department of Health announced there are now 5,183 cases and 182 deaths as of Friday.
A total of 222 probable deaths have been reported to ISDH.
Probable deaths are those for which a physician listed COVID-19 as a contributing cause based on X-rays, scans and other clinical symptoms but no positive test is on record.
These do not count towards the daily death toll.
Officials say testing for COVID-19 is now available by request statewide at Optum testing sites.
ISDH says their dashboard has been updated to remove duplicate entries and correct county of residence with data submitted to them.
