INDIANAPOLIS (WFFT) — The Indiana State Department of Health reported 8,003 new COVID-19 cases on Friday, which brings the total to 367,329 people.
The state also reported 84 new deaths, bringing the total to 5,748 deaths across the state.
The Allen County case count now includes a total of 5,308 probable cases from antigen tests reported since July 28.
Deaths are reported based on when data are received by ISDH.
The deaths reported Friday occurred between Nov. 24 and Dec. 3.
A total of 4,464,492 people have been tested in Indiana, 16.2% of those tested are positive coronavirus cases.
The Allen County Department of Health announced there are now 21,044 cases and 345 deaths as of Friday.

A total of 290 probable deaths have been reported to ISDH.
Probable deaths are those for which a physician listed COVID-19 as a contributing cause based on X-rays, scans and other clinical symptoms but no positive test is on record.
These do not count towards the daily death toll.

Officials say testing for COVID-19 is now available by request statewide at Optum testing sites.
ISDH says their dashboard has been updated to remove duplicate entries and correct county of residences with data submitted to them.
