INDIANAPOLIS (WFFT) — The Indiana State Department of Health reported 1,581 new COVID-19 cases on Monday, which brings the total to 136,555 people.
The state also reported six new deaths, bringing the total to 3,568 deaths across the state.
The Allen County case count now includes a total of 583 probable cases from antigen tests reported since July 28.
Deaths are reported based on when data are received by ISDH, the death reported Monday occurred between Oct. 10 and Oct. 11.
A total of 2,357,865 people have been tested in Indiana, 9.1% of those tested are positive coronavirus cases.
The Allen County Department of Health announced there are now 7,189 cases and 209 deaths as of Monday.
A total of 227 probable deaths have been reported to ISDH.
Probable deaths are those for which a physician listed COVID-19 as a contributing cause based on X-rays, scans and other clinical symptoms but no positive test is on record.
These do not count towards the daily death toll.
ISDH says their dashboard has been updated to remove duplicate entries and correct county of residences with data submitted to them.
