INDIANAPOLIS (WFFT) — The Indiana State Department of Health reported 1,579 new COVID-19 cases on Sunday, which brings the total to 134,981 people.
The state also reported seven new deaths, bringing the total to 3,562 deaths across the state.
The Allen County case count now includes a total of 571 probable cases from antigen tests reported since July 28.
Deaths are reported based on when data are received by ISDH, the death reported Sunday occurred between Oct. 9 and Oct. 10.
A total of 2,336,228 people have been tested in Indiana, 9.1% of those tested are positive coronavirus cases.
The Allen County Department of Health announced there are now 7,141 cases and 209 deaths as of Sunday.
A total of 227 probable deaths have been reported to ISDH.
Probable deaths are those for which a physician listed COVID-19 as a contributing cause based on X-rays, scans and other clinical symptoms but no positive test is on record.
These do not count towards the daily death toll.
ISDH says their dashboard has been updated to remove duplicate entries and correct county of residences with data submitted to them.
