INDIANAPOLIS (WFFT) — The Indiana State Department of Health reported 624 new COVID-19 cases on Wednesday, which brings the total to 107,809 people.
The state also reported 12 new deaths, bringing the total to 3,247 deaths across the state.
Another Allen County resident has died and 38 have tested positive for COVID-19, with 26 confirmed PCR cases and 12 probable antigen cases, bringing the total to 5,735 cases and 197 deaths Wednesday.
Deaths are reported based on when data are received by ISDH, the death reported Wednesday occurred between June 10 and Sept. 15.
A total of 1,770,032 people have been tested in Indiana, 8.5% of those tested are a positive coronavirus case.
The Allen County Department of Health announced there are now 5,735 cases and 197 deaths as of Wednesday.
A total of 224 probable deaths have been reported to ISDH.
Probable deaths are those for which a physician listed COVID-19 as a contributing cause based on X-rays, scans and other clinical symptoms but no positive test is on record.
These do not count towards the daily death toll.
Officials say testing for COVID-19 is now available by request statewide at Optum testing sites.
ISDH says their dashboard has been updated to remove duplicate entries and correct county of residence with data submitted to them.
