INDIANAPOLIS (WFFT) — The Indiana State Department of Health reported 1,076 new COVID-19 cases on Saturday, which brings the total to 104,561 people.
The state also reported 12 new deaths, bringing the total to 3,213 deaths across the state.
Another 72 Allen County residents have tested positive for COVID-19, with 52 confirmed PCR cases and 20 probable antigen cases, bringing the total to 5,583 cases and 185 deaths Saturday.
Deaths are reported based on when data are received by ISDH, the deaths reported Saturday occurred between Sept. 2 and Sept. 11.
A total of 1,666,889 people have been tested in Indiana, 8.7% of those tested are a positive coronavirus case.
A total of 224 probable deaths have been reported to ISDH.
Probable deaths are those for which a physician listed COVID-19 as a contributing cause based on X-rays, scans and other clinical symptoms but no positive test is on record.
These do not count towards the daily death toll.
Officials say testing for COVID-19 is now available by request statewide at Optum testing sites.
ISDH says their dashboard has been updated to remove duplicate entries and correct county of residence with data submitted to them.
