HAMMOND, Ind. (WFFT) -- An Indiana State Trooper is home after his car was hit while helping police investigate a crash in Hammond.
According to a release, Trooper Davonne Barlow was parked on the shoulder of I-80/94 WB in Hammond when his car was rear-ended by an SUV.
The driver lost control of his car and hit Barlow's Dodge Charger.
Both drivers were taken to the hospital for non life-threatening injuries.
Barlow was acting as a secondary unit to warn drivers of the crash crews ahead.
