HUNTINGTON, Ind. (WFFT) — The Huntington North High School's Marching Band has been invited to be part of the special Veterans Day Ceremonies in Washington, D.C.
Huntington Mayor, Brooks Fetters will visit the band and congratulate them on their achievement at the High School at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday.


The Marching Vikes will travel by bus to Washington to prepare for the events in the following schedule:
On Sunday, Nov. 10 the Marching Vikes will be performing at the Lincoln Memorial and World War II Memorials as part of the “Parade of Heroes”.
On Monday, Nov. 11, they will perform at the Air Force Memorial, overlooking Arlington National Cemetery.
On Tuesday, Nov. 12 the group will tour the National Archives and the Capitol Building and make the return trip to Huntington.
In addition to the performances, the students will also visit the National Mall, Arlington National Cemetery, The Tomb of the Unknowns, the Smithsonian Museums, and Ford’s Theatre.
They will also enjoy a guided bus tour of the cities’ monuments and an evening dinner cruise to celebrate their participation in these events.
The band and chaperones will leave from Door 34 at the Huntington North High School.
