Home badly damaged after early morning fire

Fort Wayne firefighters are investigating a fire that left a home badly damaged.

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WFFT)- Fort Wayne firefighters are investigating a fire that left a home badly damaged. 

Crews arrived to a home at 2726 Fairbrook Court around 3:23 a.m. When they got there, they found a house with heavy smoke and flames coming from the rear and garage. 

The owners told crews they came home to the fire and no one was inside. Firefighters searched the house to make sure no one was inside. 

The blaze was under control in about 15 minutes. 

The cause is still under investigation.
