Hillegas Road Bridge reopened after being closed for several months

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WFFT) — After months of construction, the Hillegas Road bridge that sits above Interstate 69 is finally open again for traffic flow. 

The bridge was unable to reopen until the Indiana Department of Transportation comepleted a curve correction of the Hillegas Road and Coliseium Boulervard intersection, which began in Septembetr. 

TRAFFIC UPDATES: LANE CLOSURES AND RESTRICTIONS TO EXPECT IN FORT WAYNE

INDOT said the project seeks to improve the line of sight at the intersection and improve safety by reducing winter slide-offs at the curve.
