FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WFFT) -- GiGi’s Playhouse in Fort Wayne is hosting a virtual celebration on Saturday.
The virtual dance party, featuring lots of blue and yellow, appearances from Dinsey princesses, and more will start at 1 p.m. and you can register on GiGi's Playhouse Fort Wayne website.
Together with Down Syndrome Association of Northeast Indiana and Bring-It, Own-It, Push-It, the three groups are hosting the party as part of celebrating Down Syndrome Acceptance Month during the month of October.
Mandy Drakeford, the executive director with GiGi’s Playhouse Fort Wayne says the goal is to help raise awareness of the value people with down syndrome add to the community.
"We work towards acceptance for individuals with Down syndrome in our community every single day and we just celebrate it even more during the month of October. Due to the pandemic, we want to bring people even closer together, virtually, for this program to be able to celebrate acceptance together."
