FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WFFT) - Customers hoping to shop at George's international Market Friday were instead greeted with a sign.
The store has closed temporarily because of health concerns related to the COVID-19 virus.

"I certainly understand that they need to take precautions to keep their staff and community safe. I applaud their efforts," Shelley Tinkham said.
The company posted a letter to their Facebook page about how they want to keep employees and customers safe.
This is the largest and closest grocery store for Mandy Adler and many others.
She said customers don't always follow the rules.
"People do need to stay the distance because apparently the masks, they do work, but they don't work to the full extent," Adler explained.
Adler hopes for everyone it will indeed be temporary.
"That's going to hurt a lot of people. There's a lot of people that come here and get meat. There's people who do the local shopping like we do. We don't have a vehicle so we walk here. This is our local store," she said.
