GARRETT, Ind. (WFFT) — A woman in Garrett is accused of killing her husband after an autopsy report suggested he died not from accidental or natural causes.
On Sunday, May 24, the DeKalb County Coroner’s office began a death investigation in the 1100 block of Franklin Street in Garrett.

The victim, identified as 51-year-old David Allen Converset of Garrett, was found dead at the home.
The DeKalb County Coroner’s Office said an autopsy conducted by the Northeast Indiana Forensic Center in Fort Wayne revealed "evidence suggesting a manner of death caused by other than accidental or natural causes."
As a result of these findings, the coroner contacted detectives with the Indiana State Police to assist in the investigation on Monday.
ISP detectives said they discovered "incriminating evidence establishing probable for the arrest of David Converset's wife."
On Friday State Police detectives arrested 47-year-old Michelle R. Converset, on murder and aggravated battery charges.
She was transported to the DeKalb County Jail where she will be held pending an initial hearing.
