Funeral for plane crash victims scheduled

ELWOOD, Ind. (WFFT) The two firefighters killed in a plane crash will be laid to rest next week.

Kyle Hibst and David Wittkamper were firefighters for the Pipe Creek Township Fire Department in Elwood.

The two died Monday night at the Marion Municipal Airport.

Police said the plane they were in was taking off and didn't get high enough to clear a small jet that just landed.

The single-engine plane burst into flames.
